JL-types Ky is founded 1990. It's main business is designing and marketing foreign language typeface (font) products. The company started it's activities in Vihti in Southern Finland. From 1998-2010 it was located in Nurmijärvi (about 30 kilometres from Helsinki). Now JL-types' office is in Northern Helsinki. The company is private owned.
JL-types' main market is Finland. Most Finnish major companies ar JL-types' customers, but customers range till small companies and students and hobbyist. The most important export countries are Sweden, Switzerland, Austria and Australia. As a matter of fact JL-types has sold its products to all continents except Africa and Antarctis.
